the WQM system ready for connection with the Iridium constellation

The system for satellite monitoring of surface water quality in real-time and early-warning system (WQM) is ready for connection with the Iridium constellation of 66 satellites. GSM transmitter will be replaced by RockBlock transmitter as well as the operational code.

By attending this course, the training process was completed in order to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge and experience of space engineering, ie. satellite development. The process lasted three years and started in Japan (August-September 2013) by attending a theoretical / practical part based on the Japanese CanSat model (from mission definition, through the design of small satellites / CanSat and missile launch, balloon and plane, to the analysis of the complete process).

The acquired certificate is recognized internationally.

Program je organizovan u vreme održavanja COP21 United nations conference on climate change” kao vid podrške ovako značajnom događaju, odnosno kao doprinos širenju svesti o ozbiljnosti situacije u kojoj se Planeta nalazi, kao i edukovanju participanata o aktuelnim i planiranim projektima opservacije Zemlje satelitskim putem i njihovom značaju.

Professor of Earth Observation at the University of Leeds. Andrew is also the Director of the NERC Centre for Polar Observation and Modelling and Principal Scientific Adviser to the European Space Agency’s CryoSat-2 satellite mission.

Emeritus Professor of Meteorology, University of Reading. Alan is the Founder and former Director of the NERC National Centre for Earth Observation.

PARTICIPATION OF THE COMMITTEE on ESTABLISHMENT OF „UNISEC-GLOBAL“ – TOKYO, JAPAN

A representative of the Committee participated on the „The First UNISEC-Global Meeting“ held on 23rd and 24th November 2013 on the University of Tokyo (Takeda Frontier Science Hall).

The purpose of the meeting is to announce the establishment of the UNISEC-Global  which will provide, among others, the local UNISECs with a forum for exchange of opinions about their activities, and for exploring possible cooperative program/project in the context of UNISEC.   

The meeting was attended by 260 delegations from 47 countries and regions.
For Secretary General of the Organization was elected Ms. Rei Kawashima.

established cooperation – DR Javier Avalos Garcia (Mexico)…

Established cooperation with dr Javier Avalos Garcia from Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara (Mexico) on CanSat projects. Dr Javier Avalos Garcia is a professor on Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the mentioned University.

– Field of specialization: Structures and vibrations.
– Present Research Interests: Structural vibrations, stochastic processes, arboriculture, sensorcraft development.
Collaboration with dr Javier Avalos Garcia regards primarily on the development of joint CanSat programs for primary, secondary and higher education levels.

ESTABLISHED COOPERATION WITH Aeronautical Union of Vojvodina…

Cooperation with the Aeronautical Union of Vojvodina (VSV) is, of course, completely natural and about its significance speaks to the fact that this organization is the holder of the highest awards both at domestic and international level in all segments of the aviation particularly the rocket modeling and launch. From the aspect of published Strategy for space program development and defined Programs of the Committee, Aeronautical Union have relevant and for defined Programs necessary experience in rocket modeling and launches, ballooning, parachuting and organizing of national and international competitions, gained through tradition full 85 years, which is clearly shown on official website of the Union (http://www.vsvojvodine.org/) and it will only strengthen the position of both organizations and enable sustainable development of education and human resources in this area, as well as the achievement of the objectives defined by the published Strategy.

The Strategy was written on the basis of the Japanese strategy from the same area during stay at Japanese universities, institutes and organizations, as well as during the participation on the training programs, all under the supervision and in collaboration with eminent Japanese experts in this field.

Cooperation with IfES (Institute for Education on Space)…

Held a trilateral video-conference between the Director of IFES (Institute for Education on Space) dr Hiroaki Akiyama, member of IfES  dr Akihiko Tomita and representative of the Committee Dušan Radosavljević, during which are presented programs of IFES and the Committee and presented proposals of cooperation within the project “The Strategy for Achieving the Socio-Economic Benefits of Space Knowledge and Technology Applications; Education and Human Resources Development (lessons for structural reforms of Serbian educational system)“.

The result of the conference was agreed cooperation between IFES and the Committee, which will officially start in August next year by visiting Japan in order to participate in professional development program ”Cansat Leadership Training Program – CLTP4” and presentation of educational and developmental programs of IFES and other Japanese institutions and organizations, then presentation of infrastructure and the practical application of knowledge and technology, scientific achievements, consultations with experts in this field from several Japanese institutions and organizations, expanding the network of associates, etc. in order to form a Strategy for sustainable development of the space program in Serbia in accordance with the existing capacity of the country (developing country) as a basic document for the ongoing development of education and human resources in this field.
